President Donald Trump vowed Sunday to reclaim Columbus’ Day “from the ashes” while calling Democrats to do everything possible to destroy Christopher Columbus’ reputation.
“I’m backing Columbus Day from the ashes,” the president wrote in a post about True Society. “The Democrats have done everything they can to destroy Christopher Columbus, his reputation, and all the Italians who love him so much.
“They tore his statue apart and all they could do was ‘wake’. “This is reviving Columbus Day under the same rules, dates and locations as decades ago!”
Columbus is generally believed to have discovered a “new world.” This comes after finding a direct route from Europe to Asia without having to travel across the Atlantic from Spain to the massive African continent. This inadvertently bridged the gap between Europe and what would eventually become North and South America.

It is likely that Columbus ships – Niña, Pinta and Santa Maria – have landed in San Salvador, one of the Bahamas Islands, before moving to various locations in search of valuable resources.
However, the controversial parts of his history revolve around enslavement and colonization.
In recent years, Columbus Day holidays have been increasingly scrutinized and instead choose to honor Indigenous Day.

Protesters surrounded the statue of Christopher Columbus before marching, eventually returning and pulling back on June 9, 2020 in Richmond, Virginia.
In fact, over the past few years, several statues of Columbus have been removed, stained, and even radded and submerged in water due to controversy over historical figures.
The eight-foot-high bronze statue of Columbus, once housed at the entrance to Bird Park in Richmond, Virginia, was uprooted by protesters in light of his death in 2020, before finding a new home in the outskirts of New York City last year.

It is believed that Christopher Columbus discovered the “New World” in search of the western passageway to India.
Other reports and images show statues on the ground after being pulled down from the pedestal with ropes, stained with spray paint, and lit.
The protesters then dragged the statue into a nearby pond and submerged it into the water.

The almost 100-year-old homage to Columbus was recovered and recovered before it was finally shipped to its new home at Rockland Sons of Italy Lodge in Hamlet, Braubett, about 20 miles northwest of New York City.
