President Donald Trump’s new envoy to the Middle East was sworn by Secretary of State Marco Rubio at an oval office ceremony on Tuesday.

Speaking before the oath, Trump praised Witkov. Witkov helped secure the expansion ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and the return of 33 hostages, including two Americans detained in Hamas.

Trump added that Witkov has “absolute confidence, support and trust” in the ability of Middle Eastern envoys to secure key deals in the territory of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas and between Ukraine and Russia.

Witkov is a real estate businessman in trade, but he chose him for the important role of a special envoy to the Middle East, as Trump said he “established himself as one of the toughest, wisest and best negotiators in business.”

“As a businessman, he is praised and respected by everyone, and Steve has made many advances with his talents working in the US for the special envoy of America. Our country is blessed with negotiators of such skills and experiences that have stepped up really selflessly on the plate,” the president said.

Trump said there is some learning curve for Witkov when it comes to foreign government relations, but he said he “knows that” at a lightning pace.

“It takes him about an hour to figure it out,” Trump said. “After that, he’s brutal. He’s doing a great job.”

Trump said Witkov has already been active over the past few months and has met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iranian leaders.

“He is tirelessly trying to end the bloody, destructive conflict,” Trump said, toutkov’s success in negotiations with various world leaders so far.

After the ceremony, Trump was questioned by reporters and is working on a variety of topics, including the just-announced ceasefire between the US and the Hoosis. When asked about conflicting reports that show that Houthis doesn’t plan to stop the Israeli attack, Trump said that terrorist group agents were “very strong” and that they wanted them to do nothing [the United States]. ”

Trump was also questioned about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, particularly the release of the remaining 21 living hostages.

“This is a terrible situation. We’re trying to get out the hostages. We’ve got a lot of them,” Trump told reporters.

Trump’s special envoy on Putin’s continent’s aspirations: “He doesn’t want to take away all of Europe.”

He said the couple, whose son had been taken hostage two weeks ago, came to him and said, “Please, my son is dead. Please get his body back.”

“They wanted his body. He’s dead,” Trump said from his oval office after Witkov’s confirmation. “They know. He said he wants his body as much as you would want a boy if he were alive. That’s very sad.”

Trump also commented on the potential development of Iran and its nuclear weapons. The president clearly stated, “They probably don’t have nuclear weapons.”

“This is really a crunch time. For Iran and their country, this is a very important time for Iran. This is the most important time in Iran’s history and I hope they do the right thing.”

“I want to see a peace agreement, a strong peace agreement…We want it to be a successful country,” he added. “We don’t want to do anything that’s trying to get in the way. But they can’t have nuclear weapons. And if they choose to go on a different route, it’s going to be very sad. And that’s something we don’t want to, but we don’t have any options.”
