President Donald Trump met with House Republican leaders at the White House on Thursday to relay tax priorities.
At the meeting he was held by House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La. , majority leader Steve Scullyse, R-La. , majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn. He said he hopes to stop tax tips from others who want to fulfill his campaign promises.

She further said he hopes to renew his tax cuts with the Tax Cuts and Employment Act (TCJA) from 2017. Legal provisions will begin to expire later this year.
Leavitt added that Trump is also focusing on adjusting the state and local tax (salt) credit limits.
Additionally, Trump has laid out Republicans and is trying to eliminate all special tax credits for billionaire sports team owners.

“This will be the biggest tax cut in history for middle-class working Americans. The president is committed to working with Congress to accomplish this,” Levitt said.
A meeting with House GOP leaders on taxes will be met with House leaders as Trump attempts to plan a one-building budget that includes priorities on all the president’s agendas, including both borders and taxes.

The budget settlement process lowers the threshold for moving the Senate bill from 60 votes to just 51. With a 53 vote majority in the Senate, Republicans are poised to drive policy with support from the GOP meeting alone.
House Republicans have not yet gone ahead with budget plans, allowing Senate GOPs to move ahead of them.

Wednesday, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, Rs.C. announced its intention to push forward the first bill on borders, defense and energy until next week. Taxes will be addressed later in the year as part of the second budget resolution.
The move threatened House Republicans to lead the process and lead the one-bill approach.
