President Donald Trump’s Congressional allies gathered around his efforts to roll back the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Now they are urging the administration to set their sights on another core agency.

A Republican lawmaker who spoke with Fox News Digital this week named it several federal offices that they hoped were audited or reduced by Musk’s Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz. rattled the list of suggestions when speaking to Fox News Digital, “OSHA, EPA, Ministry of Education, ATF.”

But amid rumours that Trump could soon sign an executive order to dismantle cabinet bodies, most people surrounded the Department of Education as their next target.
“To buy, you could eliminate the Department of Education, but at least you’ll take some of the money and return it to the state in the form of block grants or something,” Biggs proposed.
R-Texas Rep. Brandon Gill said, “I think we need to get rid of the Ministry of Education. We need to get rid of the ATF. I co-hosted the bill to do that on both of them.
He said the Ministry of Education was “a good place to start” and accused millions of taxpayer dollars of sinking into diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) efforts and other progressive causes. Ta.

“So Americans are tired of funding left-wing activities to taxpayer dollars,” Gill said.
Conservatives have long been critical of the Cabinet, which first opened the doors in 1980 after President Jimmy Carter split it from the current Department of Health and Human Services.
“The education sector should have left or been detained long ago,” Rep. Ralph Norman, Rs.C.
He said he hopes Musk will “put a dollar tag on it, follow the money, follow where it goes.”

Meanwhile, R-La. speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday suggested there was a desire for Congress to back up Trump if he complies with executive orders in the department.
