Trump’s anti-Sankt Ali executive order could target federal funds, experts say

President Donald Trump is expected to target so-called “sanctuary” jurisdictions in an executive order on Thursday, likely to be another legal battle for the administration.

Earlier this week, Trump hinted at the possibility of an executive order on sanctuary cities being ongoing, and planned to reporters to “end the sanctuary cities for some of these jurisdictions that do not cooperate with law enforcement.”

“They’re protecting the criminals… we might end everything together,” Trump said.

Sanctuary jurisdictions, or jurisdictions that restrict or completely prohibit local agencies from working with federal immigration authorities, have fired since Trump took office in January, blocking the president’s campaign and hampering his promise to expel illegal immigrants from the country quickly.

But what Trump can do with executive action to enforce more compliance from his jurisdiction remains questionable, opening up the possibility of further legal action against the administration.

“meanwhile [Trump] In tireless efforts to protect our communities and strengthen national security, the radical left is Gen. Daniel J. Cameron, Kentucky Attorney General, now CEO of the 1792 Exchange, told Fox News Digital.

Trump has faced an unprecedented number of court obstacles in the first months of his administration, with at least 15 injunctions resulting in at least 15 injunctions, according to data compiled by a Harvard University Review. That number already surpasses the total injunctions facing former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Cameron expects the same thing when it comes to Trump’s looming order in Sanctuary City. “No one would be surprised that the radical left doubled and tripled this strategy,” he said.

Given the restrictions, Cameron hopes to target federal funds in jurisdiction that Trump’s orders did not comply with.

“Within the US, zip codes must be irrelevant when it comes to enforceable federal laws,” he said. “Cities and states that embrace illegal aliens from federal authorities or actively interfere with enforcement of federal law are not worthy of taxpayers’ money or support. It’s simple and simple. I think the executive order will stop taxpayers from stopping hooks due to local authorities’ unsafe immigration decisions.”

Overall, Cameron believes Trump’s plan to sign executive orders will be a good start, noting the success of the president’s successful administration measures to close the southern border.

“The executive order is a good first step,” Camerson said. “Look at the southern border. We didn’t need a new law to allow boundary intersections to plunge from Biden’s highs. All we needed was a new president who had the courage to do something.”
