President Donald Trump began his fourth week of office by attending the Super Bowl, which is expected to be another action-packed work week, including a meeting with Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky.
Trump will return to Washington, D.C. late Sunday night after attending the Super Bowl and spending the weekend at Mar Arago. The 47th President has suggested that he could hold his first meeting with Zelensky since his inauguration ceremony this week on January 20th to discuss the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.
“[Zelenskyy] Yes, maybe we’ll see you next week. Whenever he wants. I’m here,” Trump told reporters on Friday, hosting Japanese Prime Minister Isba.
Trump has already met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Benjamin Netanyahu is in the midst of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas more than a year after the war, vowing to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths in both countries as the war continued.
