President Donald Trump’s political team launched the Political Action Committee (PAC) targeting Sen. Thomas Massey’s Capitol in 2026, Fox News Digital confirmed.
Veteran Republican strategist Chris Lacivita, who was the co-campaign manager for Trump’s 2024 presidential bid, and longtime GOP poller and Trump’s top voter Tony Fabrizio will pilot the “Kentucky PAC.”
This is the first time Trump’s campaign device has directly targeted incumbent Republicans through the Super PAC, and the move presents a proactive new strategy to hold Congressional Republicans accountable for obstructing Trump’s legislative agenda.
The news was first reported by Axios on Sunday night.
As the president considered whether to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, Massey emerged as the main voice of Republicans willing to challenge Trump’s constitutional authority to lead the United States into the burgeoning conflict between Israel and Iran. When Trump announced his successful strike at three Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday night, Massey was clear in his rebuttal that “this is not the constitution.”
Thomas Massey says he feels “misunderstood” by Trump after Iran attacks: “He’s engaged in war.”

“FAFO… I’m participating in FO…” Lacivita responded to Massie on Saturday. In other words, it means “F — Around and Discovery.”
“Not Constitution”: Congress invokes new war power resolutions to reject Trump’s strike against Iran
By Sunday night, Lacivita had confirmed the Axios report, a clear message to Massie, the “FO here” in X, and a clear message to Republicans who undermine the President.
Massey was elected US representative for Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District in 2012. One of the few remaining House GOP members willing to oppose Trump, the Fiscal Firebrand eased key challenges for deep red Kentucky Republicans in 2020 and 2024.
Last week, Republicans co-hosted a resolution on war power with 48 Democrats, attempting to prevent Trump from raiding Iran without Congressional approval. Parliament has the only power to declare war under Article 1 of the Constitution.

The forces resolution aims to “eliminate US troops from unauthorized hostilities in Iran’s Islamic state,” and directs Trump to “end” the deployment of US troops against Iran without “an approved or specific approval declaration for the use of the military against Iran.”
When Trump announced the successful strike in Iran in America, without Congressional approval, Massey and his Democratic co-sponsors, including Rep. Locanna, criticized the president on social media and immediately criticized CBS News’ “Face the Nation” Sunday.
“I feel a bit misunderstood,” Massey told Fox News Digital in an interview Sunday afternoon. “I didn’t think he would decide on his foreign policy on neocons and drag us into another war.”
Kentucky Republicans have been broken from Trump on several other occasions, one of the few GOP officials who have openly clashed with the president, particularly about government spending and foreign interventions.
Former Trump campaign advisor Chris Lacivita will be seen walking through the Albanian capital ahead of Sunday’s election against socialist Prime Minister Eddie Rama, held in Tirana, Albania on May 9, 2025.
Trump threatened major Massey that he wasn’t trying to bend in negotiations for one big beautiful bill for House GOP, and commented that Massey was later used in a fundraising message for the 2026 reelection campaign.
Massey is one of two House Republicans who voted against Trump’s megaville last month, claiming it’s not enough to tackle the country’s massive debt, much more than $36 trillion.
In a long truth social post on Sunday afternoon, Trump showed Massie’s dissent, claiming that “Maga doesn’t want him, doesn’t know him, doesn’t respect him,” and again called him “ancestors.”

“Maga should drop this pathetic loser, Tom Massey, like a plague! The good news is that there’s a great American patriot who runs over him in the Republican primary. I’m going out really hard on the Kentucky campaign.
Massey did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s investigation into the Kentucky PAC.
