The portrait of President Donald Trump, which he claimed was “deliberately twisted,” was to be knocked down from the Colorado Capitol, officials said.

In a statement, House Democrats said the oil paintings painted by artist Sara Boardman during Trump’s first term would be overthrown at the request of Republican leaders in Denver’s state legislature, the Associated Press reported.

“If GOP wants to spend time and money on Trump’s portrait hanging on the Capitol, that’s up to them,” Democrats said.

The portrait was released in 2019. The state Republicans raised over $11,000 through their GoFundMe accounts to commission the paintings.

Trump criticized the picture in a true social post on Sunday.

“No one likes bad drawings or drawings of myself, but the Colorado paintings were deliberately distorted to a level that I have probably never seen before, along with the Capitol and all the other presidents,” he wrote.

This is what happened in Trump’s ninth week in office.

“The artist also did President Obama. He looks great, [of] I’m really the worst, Trump added. “She must have lost her talent as she got older.”

Trump said he is requesting the portrait be removed on behalf of the angry Coloradan, who complained about it.

“In any case, I would prefer not to take photos rather than have this, but a lot of people in Colorado call and write to complain,” he writes. “In fact, they’re actually mad about it!”

Trump called on Colorado Gov. Jared Police to defeat the painting.

“Jared should be ashamed of himself!” he wrote.
