SALT LAKE CITY (KTVX) – Dozens of passengers were injured on a Delta flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam on Wednesday.
After the aircraft landed at MSP around 7:45pm on Wednesday, 25 people were sent to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment.

“They hit the ceiling and then they fell to the ground,” Leann Clement-Nash told ABC News. “And then the cart hit the ceiling and fell to the ground, causing people to get injured. And it happened a few times, so it was really scary.”
Clement Nash said it was difficult to remember a particular moment from the ordeal, but recalls that the plane was told “it went up about 500 feet and then dropped 1,500 feet.”
“So there was a point where we were weightless,” she said.

According to the airline, medical personnel were waiting to meet up with the flight when they arrived to assess both passengers and crew.
“We appreciate the support of all the emergency responders involved,” Delta said in a statement. “Safety is the number one value in Delta, and the Delta Care team works directly with customers to support their immediate needs.”
