On Monday evening, two pedestrians were attacked and killed by a train in Los Angeles’ Lake Balboa area.
LA police said they received a call at 6:13pm reporting a fatal Metrolink collision on Roscoe and Balboa Boulevard.
Initial reports from the LA Fire Department found that crews arrived and found two female patients beyond medical assistance and were determined to be dead at the scene.
However, LAPD told KTLA that the victims were allegedly one woman and one man.
Details are limited, and neither organization immediately made a clear statement about the identity of the victims.
Unconfirmed reports show that both victims are adults, but authorities had not confirmed their age at 8:30pm on Monday.
Video footage from Citizen.com showed the crew holding a canopy on the victim. The victim’s body was covered in a white sheet.
According to a report from Citizen.com, the train is upright and operational, and the 200 passengers on board were not injured.
LAFD said all questions have been referred to LAPD, Metrolink and the LA County Medical Examination Office.
