Authorities are searching for the suspect who shot and killed two people on the 710 Freeway in a suspected road rage incident in East Los Angeles early Wednesday morning.
Authorities learned of the incident when two people inside a Toyota Prius arrived at Los Angeles Community Hospital on Olympic Boulevard shortly after midnight suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims said they were shot while driving on the transition road from the 710 Freeway to the 5 Freeway before heading to the hospital.
A California Highway Patrol spokesperson told KTLA that both patients are in stable condition.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation, but CHP officials believe street violence was a factor.
The shooting led to a SigAlert, which resulted in the closure of multiple lanes of the 710 Freeway at the 5 Freeway interchange. The lane was closed for several hours while officers searched for evidence, but has since reopened.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and a description of the suspect vehicle has not been released.
Investigators believe there were other vehicles in the area at the time of the shooting and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
