Watching humpback whales breach is an eye-opener, but what happens when two whales breach at the same time?
KTLA was sent a video from Dana Point Whale Watching that showed two large creatures emerging from the water and coming back with a splash at exactly the same time.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, whales sometimes perform a “full breach,” where more than half of their bodies are above the water.
The two whales seen in the video sent to KTLA appear to have actually made a complete breakthrough.

According to NOAA, this violation is one of many observable behaviors exhibited by whales, including logging (lying silently on the surface of the water), spy-hopping (where whales raise their heads and sometimes eyes vertically above the surface of the water). This includes kick feeding (when the whale places its body above the water), and kick feeding (when the whale places its body above the water). (Lift the back part of your body to kick the water and quickly come down).

KTLA 5 Meteorologist Casey Montoya says this is an incredibly rare sight, so anyone lucky enough to see two whales breaching at the same time may want to buy a lottery ticket. He said it might be possible.
Dana Point is generally considered to be the dolphin and whale watching capital of the world.
