Two robbery suspects remain on the run after victims say they stole up to $250,000 worth of items from Orange County homes on Halloween night.
Home security cameras along Gardenia Avenue in Garden Grove captured hooded thieves on duty, disabling much of the security system and possibly using a crowbar, snatching valuables from homes they entered shortly before 9 p.m. I broke through the front door.
Additionally, after reviewing security footage from different angles and comparing notes, the victims found that the suspects followed him to a Halloween party 20 minutes from their home, stopped his car, slashed his tires, and then returned to his neighborhood. It was discovered that the attack occurred.
The loot included expensive handbags, jewelry, watches, cash, guns and a large safe containing important items, the report said.
KTLA’s Chris Wolfe spoke with victims Peter Lee and Vicki Nguyen and is asking for the community’s help in identifying the suspect.
“Now I don’t feel safe in my own home,” Nguyen said. “They definitely took away my peace.”
Police say the two suspects are both men, but did not provide further details other than to say they were wearing head-to-toe black and gray clothing at the time of the robbery.
“I thought, ‘Wow, these guys are taking forever, the police might be here by now,'” Lee told KTLA.
The victims are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and the recovery of stolen items.
