Two teenage carjack suspects were arrested after leading deputies in a chase in San Bernardino County.
The male suspect was identified only as a 16- and 17-year-old person due to minor conditions.
On June 10, Victor Valley Sheriff’s deputies responded to a carjacking at 3:14am in the 13,000 block of Cholamellar Road, Victorville.
The teenagers threatened to shoot the victim before stepping into the stolen car and speeding up.
The lawmakers spotted the vehicle on Palmdale Road and headed east towards the 15th highway. When they tried to attract the teens, they refused to make concessions and led key authorities in the pursuit.
The pursuit lasted about 10 minutes before the suspect abandoned the car and escaped on foot.
They were later found near Palmdale and Sequoia Road and arrested for carjacking, vehicle theft and failing to surrender. They were booked at the High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Centre.
Anyone with information about the incident will be asked to call the Deputy J. Raleigh or Sheriff’s dispatch at 760-552-6800 or 760-956-5001.
