Police say two teenagers lost their lives after a high-speed crash overnight.
It happened shortly after midnight on Sunday at the intersection of Rinal Distreat and Zelza Street just north of the 118 highway in the Granada Hills area of the San Fernando Valley, according to Los Angeles police.
As they were moving east across Rinaldi at high speed, the 19-year-old driver of the vehicle lost control and collided with a retaining wall, LAPD confirmed. He and his 17-year-old passenger were declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
