As wildfires continue to rage across Southern California, ride-sharing companies Uber and Lyft are offering free rides to evacuation centers for evacuated residents.
“We’re working with local governments and first responders to ensure everyone who needs help evacuating gets a ride,” said Kamiel Irving, Uber’s vice president of operations.
Evacuees can redeem up to $40 in free Uber rides by applying the promo code “WILDFIRE25” in the wallet section of the Uber app before requesting a ride to a designated shelter. Masu.
