“We’ve been conducting a secret investigation at Fontana Police Station, where officers are conducting a secret investigation and they are surrounded by citizens who claim they are ice officials,” said Fontana Police Chief Michael Dorsey.
Confusion promotes community anxiety, where fear of immigrant enforcement deepens
Contractor NBC4 Martin Torres met outside Home Depot.
“We’re standing here and we just say, ‘Here’s the ice,’ but that’s not them,” Torres said.
In response, departments like the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Division and Fontana Police Department have issued statements and made statements. I encourage the public not to jump to conclusions
“My purpose of sending my letter was to quell rumors that the Fontana Police Department was involved in immigration enforcement, because we weren’t when we encountered a Fontana police officer involved in a criminal investigation that undermines what he was trying to do and that caused safety.
