The Redondo Beach family is seeking community help to find the owner of the dog that bites its mother in an unprovoked attack filmed on surveillance video.
Victim Michelle Lara told KTLA that she went for daily walks along Artesia Boulevard on February 18th.
Lara said the bite left a bruise and reduced the mobility of the arm.
She also says she wants to know more about the dog, but can’t get in touch with the dog’s owner.
“My arm hurts so I’d like to know if these shots are the latest, but I’m scared,” Lara said.
Lara said she initially spoke to the dog owner, but claimed that she was deliberately given the wrong number when attempting to follow up.
Redondo Beach Police Station was asked by KTLA on Sunday to attack the dog, but confirmed that it could not confirm that the suspected dog owner was in custody.
Police said they had not searched for anyone involved in the incident as of Sunday night.
In addition to reaching out to the police, Lara’s family is calling for control of the animal and waiting for a response.
