Authorities say the driver was arrested earlier this week after driving irregularly near Cartrun in the West Los Angeles area.
The incident occurred Tuesday when California Highway Patrol officials observed a vehicle cut across a cone pattern, where Cartran workers were outside the vehicle and working on the highway, according to the CHP. West LA said in an Instagram post Wednesday.
“After contacting the driver and advised the reason for the stop (2818 California Vehicle Code), Ramos observed that the driver exhibited objective signs and symptoms of the disorder,” the CHP said in the post.
While searching for the suspect’s vehicle, another officer found a tank that had “newly used for inhalation.”

Images of the NOS tank were shared in a post placed along with what appeared to be a jar filled with marijuana.
The unidentified driver was arrested on suspicion of inhaling nitrous oxide with the intent to cause poisoning, according to the CHP.
