A U.S. Army soldier has been charged with selling confidential phone records.
Cameron John Wagenius, 20, was indicted by federal authorities in Texas on December 20 on two counts of unlawful transfer of confidential telephone records, and the indictment was unsealed this week.
Wagenius was a soldier at Fort Cavazos in Texas. Court records do not specify his rank.

He is associated with the online handle Kiberphant0m, which claims to have hacked the phone records of President-elect Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, as part of several high-profile data breaches, including the Snowflake data hack. The 2024 presidential candidate’s purported AT&T call records were posted online in November, The Verge said, noting that the call records have not been verified as authentic.
Details of the hacking were not disclosed in the indictment.

The indictment accuses Wagenius of selling “confidential phone records” online.
“We are aware that a Fort Cavazos soldier has been arrested,” Fort Cavazos told FOX News Digital. “Third Armored Corps will continue to cooperate with all law enforcement agencies as necessary.”

Wagenius will next be extradited to Seattle, where his case is being processed.
