U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondy issued a harsh warning to those engaged in government fraud at his latest cabinet meeting on Monday.
Speaking to President Donald Trump at the meeting, Bondi thanked Tesla CEO Elon Musk for revealing “fraud, waste and abuse” through the Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative.
“There’s a lot of waste and abuse, but there’s a huge amount of fraud,” Bondi began. “And Elon, thank you for your partnership. Thank you to your team. You have discovered a lot of scams in our government.”
Bondi later revealed that the internal task force was involved in bringing people accused of fraud to justice.

“We’ll indict you,” the Attorney General warned. “We have an internal task force currently working with all the agents sitting at this table. If you commit a scam, we will come after you. Thank you, Elon.”
Bondy also said under Trump’s directive, the Department of Justice (DOJ) will begin seeking the death penalty of those convicted of violent crimes.
“All these horrible violent criminals you hear all over the country will face the death penalty in our country,” Bondy said. “And we’re coming after you, so drug dealers need to get out of here. We have 94 great US lawyers in this country and everyone is charged with the greatest extent of the law.”
The topic of government fraud has been mentioned through the meeting, claiming that Musk has found $330 million worth of waste within the Small Business Administration (SBA).
