The Department of Homeland Security’s Christa Noem Bureau vowed at Sean Curran on Monday, serving as director of the US Secret Service.
The oath ceremony took place in the oval office where President Donald Trump and Noem joined Karan.
“Shaun’s brave actions when he risked his life to save President Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania, are testament to his dedication to the mission of the Secret Service in the United States,” Noem said in a statement. “His decades of experience will bring back the Secret Service and focus on its core mission: protecting American leaders and the US financial system.”
“I look forward to working with Sean and ensuring that the Secret Service is stronger than ever,” she added.

Curran was one of a group of agents who ran onto the stage to protect Trump with his body during a failed assassination attempt at Butler on July 13, with two deaths and a candidate injured in ears.
Curran appeared next to Trump in a series of photos showing the former and the future president returning to his feet, running around his face, raising his fists and cheering from the audience.
Three bystanders were shot. They were firefighters Corey Comperator, 50, and both were 57-year-old David Dutch and James Copenharbor, 74, who died from his injuries.

Curran maintains something inconspicuous, but is often portrayed on Trump’s side.
He even has a fan of Tiktok.
