In a speech to European leaders, Vice President JD Vance said the continent’s recent censorship efforts are a greater threat to its existence than Russia.
“The threat of being the most concerned about Vis-a-vis Europe is not Russia, not China. It is not another outside actor,” he said in a speech at the Munich security conference.
“What I’m concerned about is the threat from within Europe’s retreat from some of the most fundamental values shared with the United States.”
Vance called on former European commissioner Thierry Breton, who said that if the German AFD party wins the election in Germany in January, the outcome could be Romanian path.
“These Cavalier statements are shocking to America’s ears,” Vance said.

“For years, we have been told that everything we fund and support is in the name of our shared democratic values. From Ukrainian policy to digital censorship, Everything is billed as a democratic defense. But officials who are threatening to cancel others when they see European courts cancel elections and seniors, have said that we are themselves to a suitable high standard. You should ask if you are holding it.”
Romania has negated the results of the December presidential election. Because President Klaus Iohanis has declassified the intelligence report claiming Russian influence campaign on social media in the interests of Karin Georgek, the dark horse candidate with the most votes. .
“You can believe that it’s wrong for Russia to buy social media ads to influence elections. We certainly do. Foreign, not so strong in the first place.”
The Vice President called for organizers of the Munich Conference. He said he “prohibited lawmakers representing populist parties both on the left and right from participating in these conversations.”
The conference states that MSC Chair Christoph Horsgen described as a rejection of the principle of “peace through peace through conferences” and includes the German far-right alternative and newly formed left-wing populist Sarah Wagen Knecht. “To many of us on the other side of the Atlantic, it appears to be an old, entrenched interest hidden behind ugly Soviet-era words like misinformation or disinformation. Another opinion, or God is forbidden and vote differently or worse yet, win the election.”
He then stated that Europe had forgotten the lessons of the Cold War and Soviet censorship policies.
“In the living memories of many in this room, the Cold War placed defenders of democracy against much more tyrannical powers on this continent, and censored dissidents, churches. Think of that fight side that cancelled the election that closed,” Vance said. .
“Unfortunately, looking at Europe today, it may not be very clear what happened to the winners of the Cold War. I look to Brussels, who say they are “hateful content.” We found it in this very country where police raids against civilians suspected of posting anti-feminist comments online as part of the “fighting against misogyny on the Internet.”
According to Vance, the “most concern” is the UK.
“The backslide, away from the right to conscience, placed across the fundamental freedoms of especially religious Britons.”
Adam Smith Conner, who was found guilty of violating a local government’s public space protection order in October after standing outside the abortion facility with a quiet prayer on his head nearly two years ago. He spoke.
“I wish I could say this was a fluke and a crazy one-off example of a terriblely written law being enacted to one person,” Vance said.

UK law suggests that people within the 200-meter buffer zone of abortion clinics cannot attempt to influence someone’s decision to access an abortion. People in the home within the buffer zone cannot cast or yell anti-abortion messages outside or yell them out of the clinic’s scope.
Vance also called for Sweden. There, Danish activist Rasmus Pardan was sentenced to four months in prison for burning copies of the Quran.
“In fact, Swedish law to protect free expression is not actually a ‘grant’. “We don’t make a free pass or say anything without angering the group that holds that belief,” Vance said.
Vance’s speech was absent from what European leaders expected to hear – details about President Donald Trump’s plan for peace between Russia and Ukraine, and how to strengthen the NATO alliance .
“I’m sure you’re ready to come here and talk about how you’re going to increase your defense spending along with some new targets over the next few years,” Vance said. Masu.
“I’ve heard a lot about what you need to protect yourself, and of course it’s important. But it didn’t seem a bit clear to me. You’re the one who’s yourself It means protecting the

The Vice President continued: “Do you believe that a positive vision of animating this shared security compact is very important to us all? And the conscience you will be able to voice, opinions and guide. If you are afraid, you deeply believe there is no security for your own people.”
“The crisis this continent is facing now, the crisis we all believe we are facing together is one of our own works. You run for fear of your own voters. Then there’s nothing America can do for you.”
