DENVER (KDVR) — Police officers in Lone Tree, Colorado, did everything they could to catch a suspect who drove off on a scooter.
The City of Lone Tree posted body camera video on social media of a police pursuit on a motorcycle that led Officer Jacob Tarr to seize a child’s bicycle in order to apprehend a grand theft suspect.
The suspect was initially confronted, but then jumped a fence and used the scooter as a getaway vehicle. Fortunately, Tar had other means of transportation.
The video in the player above shows body camera footage of officers jumping two fences, grabbing a green children’s bicycle and chasing the suspect.
The suspect is also seen on camera footage from a nearby home. Video shows the suspect attempting to flee on a scooter. Moments later, Tarr is seen on video chasing the suspect on a child’s bicycle.
The video quickly ends with another officer in a patrol car arresting the suspect. The City of Lone Tree announced that the suspect was charged with grand larceny. The suspect also has three outstanding warrants, including one for armed robbery from another county.
