(KSWB/KUSI) – Home video shows a quick San Diego County mother greeting her young baby during Monday’s strong earthquake and leaving the house.
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck East San Diego County at 10:08am near Julian’s community, with shaking throughout the southern part of the state.
Mother Ashley Pinnick, a community at San Diego Country Estate and a few miles southwest of the epicenter, was in the living room with her baby and cat when the shaking occurred.
The video shows Pinnik picking up 9 month old baby Michael as soon as he felt the shaking and heading towards the front door, saying, “Let’s go out!” Multiple times.

At the same time, the family cat runs towards another part of the house.
The video shows her partner Andrew Paul taking part when Pinnik and her baby come out.
Paul told Nexuster’s KSWB/Kusi that Pinnik is from San Diego and told the earthquake on Monday was the strongest earthquake he’d ever experienced.
The earthquake caused moderate tremors throughout Southern California, but no major damage or injuries have been reported.
