A trans woman turned to social media to identify a man who slashed a tire at a gas station in North Hollywood.
The incident occurred last Thursday at ARCO on Kafuenga Boulevard, past 101 highway from Universal Studios. In a video posted to Tiktok, Gigi Candy said she was turned into a gas station and waiting for the pump to be available when the attacker drove behind her.
“He starts blowing the horns and in the world he starts zero patience,” Candy said. She decided to drive to another gas pump, but the man followed her, she said.
“What is it like [expletive]there is no pump behind me. He’s just parked behind me. You can see him talking [expletive]flip me over. ”
Candy also admitted to raising her middle finger to the man, and she said she sent him “angry.”
The video shows the man stabs one of her tires several times with a small pocket knife before returning to his car. Female passengers can also be seen in the car.
It is unclear whether Candy’s gender identity played a role in the attack.
Candy hopes that someone on social media will help identify the man and lead to criminal charges.
“To be honest, I’m traumatized and I just want to handle this,” she said.
