The video taken by Rajon Robinson posted on Instagram under the handle @Raythelover is a gray SUV that speeds up the pier, and several police officers continue. After that, some gunshots were heard.
The Menifie Police Station identified the 45 -year -old Jose Velazquez as a man killed by an officer before 7:00 am before 7:00 am. morning.
After the police identified Velazquez as a suspect, he chased the city of Santaanana and led a police officer to the pier in Newport Beach.
Robinson says he was fishing with his family when he cried on the SUV.
“The last thing we expected while fishing was to see a random car flying on the pier,” he said. “And you see the officer fleet behind him.”
Robinson said he saw Velvaskes jumped off the car before listening to the shooting.
As of Sunday afternoon, it is unknown whether Velazquez fired to the officers. The Santa Anana Police Station and Natalie Garcia said to KTLA that he was armed at the time.
“I didn’t know if a man was shooting, so I did my best to protect and protect my family,” said Robinson. He was fishing with his father and his four -year -old son.
There were no bystanders or officers injured in the gunfight. The pier is closed until there is a notification.
