Residents of West Hollywood apartments live in fear of the man they call “neighbors from hell.”
The neighbor in question has been quietly living in a building in the 1200 block of North Fairfax Avenue for several years, but residents who don’t want to show their faces for fear of retaliation say something has changed a few months ago.
“It was like a light switch,” one resident told KTLA’s John Fenoglio. “Because he’s OK. He’s not a great neighbor, but not like this, he’s destroyed apartments, attacked people, attacked doors with bars.
Home security cameras captured a man pounding the resident’s doors with what looked like a clover. In yet another video, this time the same shirtless man knocks on the door of another resident at night.

Many residents told KTLA that they were scared for their safety and were repeatedly calling the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, reporting that the man threatened to kill people.

“The police are literally saying there’s nothing they can do,” another resident said. “They leave every time without taking action.”
A neighbor told KTLA that the man should have been out of the building in a few days. But they are worried that he will not leave when the time comes.
“This isn’t alright,” the resident said. “We’ve been living in fear and fear for three months. That’s a shame. This is ridiculous, so I hope we can change some of the laws in the city. This is crazy.”
KTLA contacted the Sheriff’s Department’s West Hollywood station to confirm that it is extremely familiar with the building and the pending eviction notices of the man.
