Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz said Friday that a “shadow government” is needed to provide Americans with the truth about the actions of the Trump administration.
Speaking at the town hall in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Waltz accused the Trump administration of attacking voting rights, but he argued that it could be rectified through a new form of government.

“One of the first things they do is try to limit votes,” Waltz said of the Trump administration. “This is what this is about bringing the power industry — I don’t know the answer to this, but I’m saying this — I’m saying this.
The statement spurred criticism from Republicans.

“Undefeated loser @gov Tim Waltz wants to form a “shadow government” in protest of demanding evidence of citizenship for voter registration and demanding foreigners be banned from interfering in the election,” President Donald Trump’s social media team said on X.
“Pls keep this,” U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, Rs.C. said.
The term “Shadow Government” reflects a similar term used in the UK where governmental components create groups of opposition leaders that reflect cabinet actions in power.

The group “shadows” other cabinets by scrutinizing their actions and providing alternative solutions.
In another part of his statement, Waltz admitted to being soaked in his 18-year-old son, gas. “I was talking to those dads and him,” Waltz said. “I was giving Gus my wisdom about what he was wrong, you know, am I a dad because I know these things? And in the middle of it, he gives me the old one,” says the man who got the **. ”
