CHICAGO (WGN) – He went through a near miss caught on camera at Chicago’s Midway International Airport on Tuesday.
The incident occurred around 8:50am local time and was captured on video by StreamTimelive. Airport webcam videos shared on social media show Southwest flights will temporarily land before pulling up across the runway to outperform the jet taxi.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued the following statement regarding the incident:
The crew of Southwest Airlines Flight 2504 began a go-around when the business jet entered the runway without approval at Chicago Midway Airport. The FAA is investigating an incident that occurred around 8:50am local time on Tuesday, February 25th.

“The crew had followed safety procedures and the flight was successfully arriving,” Southwest said in a statement to the Associated Press.

FlexJet, the company where Jet is registered, told NewsNation in a statement.
“FlexJet complies with the highest safety standards and conducts thorough investigations. Measures will be taken to ensure the highest safety standards have been revised.”
No injuries were reported in the incident and is currently under investigation by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board.
Near misses follow several fatal aviation accidents involving commercial aircraft.
On January 29th, an American Airlines flight collided with a Black Hawk helicopter over the Potomac River, with all 67 people on board.
Two days later, a medical jet carrying six people, including one child, crashed into a residential area in Philadelphia, killing everyone.
In Alaska, the plane carrying the pilot and nine passengers who disappeared on February 6 were found in fragments the following day after falling down in the icy Bering Sea. All 10 people were killed.
The following Monday, one person died, and others injured after a private jet owned by Metley Crew singer Vince Neal attacked another jet at Scottsdale airport in Arizona I did it.
On February 17, all passengers on Delta’s flight 4819 miraculously survived when the plane landed in a snowy gust of wind in Toronto, capsized and set fire.
