Republican senators offer mixed responses when they are forced to see how the Trump administration has handled the Epstein Files’ controversy, calling it a distraction, and some argue that Americans are “entitled” to answers.

Attorney General Pam Bondy has announced the “first phase” of declassified files related to Jeffrey Epstein. He noted that the move follows President Donald Trump’s commitment to “unveiling” about the actions of Epstein and his co-conspirators. Bondy also said in the same month she owned Epstein’s “client list.”

However, the February declassification included information and files that were already publicly available, and the Department of Justice has since indicated that there is no “client list.” Since then, a series of events, including a clash between Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino and Attorney General Bondi, has put pressure on the Trump administration to release more files.

“This is true. Epstein trafficked many young women, some of which were minors. Americans have the right to know who he, in addition to himself, these young women were trafficked and why they weren’t charged,” John Kennedy said.

“Now, it’s a very simple question. This is at the bottom of everything. The Department of Justice must answer that question to the satisfaction of Americans.”

Table spins as House GOP suddenly blows up dems to demand Epstein’s transparency from Trump administrator

Kennedy’s call for transparency comes after the president described Epstein’s situation as a “hoax” and blows up Democrats and other “weak people” who continue to buy it.

“Their new scam is what we’ll call Jeffrey Epstein’s hoax forever, and my past supporters have bought this ‘bull–‘, hook, line and sinker,” Trump wrote on his true social platform last month in mounting an internal division report within the management over the handling of the Epstein case.

When asked about how the Trump administration handled Epstein’s engagement, R-Okla Sen. Mark Wayne Mullin said he thought he was creating a “distraction” from ongoing investigations such as President Biden.

“Look at what’s been investigated now through the Biden administration… So what are they going to talk about now?” Marin asked. “This is nothing more than a distraction from actual facts about the Biden administration. Of course, Democrats say, ‘Well, we’re about transparency.’ So, where has transparency been around for the past four years? ”

Democrats suggest that Trump could be involved in the file, but Marin said that if that situation were true, the information would have been leaked by the Biden administration.

Marin’s counterpart in the Senate, Republican Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford, took more middle ground in his response to how the administration has handled the Epstein Files.

“The challenge is that there are people who are victims that are in it, and there are people who are not criminals that are in it,” Lankford said. “And the challenge the Department of Justice has is having a girl who was abused at age 14 or 16.

“Maybe her family knows about this. Maybe they aren’t. I don’t know the situation, but we have to find a way to protect those who are real victims of all this and get as much information as possible.”

For R-Maine Sen. Susan Collins, the discussion about the Epstein file was not of interest to talk about when Fox News Digital approached it.

“I’m going,” Collins replied as he pushed the issues outside the Capitol complex.
