A no-drinking water order was issued for Pasadena, Eaton Fire and Pasadena Water and Power evacuation zones announced Wednesday.
The warning was issued because “debris and increased turbidity” may be impacting water quality in the area.
Officials are asking residents not to boil, filter or otherwise try to treat their own water. Instead, the City of Pasadena is advising those affected to drink only bottled water for the time being.
Water precautions also apply to pets and livestock.
A complete list of Eaton Fire evacuation zones can be found here.
The City of Pasadena wrote to X, “We will notify you when testing indicates the water is safe again.” “The expected time to resolution is unknown and depends on the evolution of the fire, wind and related conditions.”
