Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Dn.Y., crossed the US with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on the “Combodia Oligarchy” tour.
Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign account posted a video to X this week. This used these rumors as a fourth-term Democrat in New York City, with a progressive leader declared, “We’re one.”
“I’m a Bronx girl,” Ocasio-Cortez said on the campaign-style stage in Idaho. “To be welcome here in this state, we all together see our common cause, and this is everything in this country.”
FiveThirtyeight founder and well-known poller Nate Silver signaled earlier this month that Ocasio-Cortez is the leading Democrat to win the party’s presidential nomination in 2028.

“I think there are a lot of points in her favor at this moment,” Druke added.
Americans have reposted Cortez’s video beyond the X, pointing to the video as evidence of the president’s ambitions in 2028. “Prepare America. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will almost certainly run for the president in 2028,” political reporter Eric Dorgerty said in response to the video.
Schumer sinks, as liberal voters demand Trump’s more difficult line, AOC soars in new polls
Just as rumors swirling around Ocasio-Cortez’s ambitions for higher positions returning to his New York home, a Siena University poll found a decline in favor of Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer. Meanwhile, Ocasio-Cortez’s favor rose to 47%.
Longtime New York senators faced a pushback from Democrats in March as they supported a Republican budget bill supported by President Donald Trump, which sparked rage among Congressional Democrats who had planned to avoid government shutdowns and boycott the bill.
The rise in disapproval among Democrats has been reflected in the polls, and the changing perception comes as DNC vice-chairman David Hogg faces blowback from the DNC this week as his political arm, the right leader.

Republican strategist Colin Reed said Ocasio-Cortez should not be “discounted” by Democrats who are “in the way” to run for any office she decides to seek, whether she’s a US senator or a US senator.
Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders are attracting national attention on jet sets across the country, but Reid said their passion and energy might stimulate the progressive part of the Democrats, but said, “Her ideas are far too big to become mainstream at the national level.”
“In the end, there will always be a percentage of voters who will be attracted to that message in democratic bases. The problem they run is that they are not the majority of Americans. The majority of Americans don’t want to turn our country into some sort of “European-style government rule.” That’s why America was first established.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and US Sen. Bernie Sanders will be on a “Fighting Olgarki” tour at Dienity Health Arena, a theatre in Bakersfield, California, on April 15, 2025.
Reed explained that Democrats have an opportunity to control the national democratic narrative within their party, as Democrats have landed on a consistent message and struggled to find a clear leader following the Republican victory in November.
“Chaos loves vacuum, and for now, the Democrats have a vacuum in their leadership, and therefore chaos controls the roost,” Reed said.
“As long as these two are there, no one else has done anything, so they’re getting attention, especially Senator Sanders and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.
