Police are searching for four suspected robbers who broke into a bakery in West Los Angeles Thursday morning.
The suspect drove to Bibi’s Bakery & Cafe, 8928 West Pico Blvd. At 2:30am, in the Picorobertson area.
Surveillance footage showed that the hooded thief used a hammer to crush the glass front door and then ran in immediately.

They were seen using cash withdrawals and tools to pry open safety, but ultimately failed.
“They ended up taking tips that were at the counter, so what we accumulated might have been $50 worth of hints,” owner Dan Messinger said.
After emptying the tip jars, they fled the store in a black sedan before police arrived at the scene.
Approximately the same time, an employee arrived at the bakery and heard the security alarm was sounding and immediately called the store owner.
“They said, ‘We just went straight ahead. The door was arrested, and they took the money,'” Messer recalled.
He cleans up the mess and covers the cost of replacing the entrance, but Messinger said he was grateful that no one was injured during the break-in.
“The silver lining today was community support,” he said. “It makes me feel good inside to know we have their support.”
