As devastating wildfires continue to ravage Southern California, many donation centers are quickly filling up with an outpouring of donations from local communities.
Many of the displaced people have been left with almost nothing, and access to essential items such as clothing, toiletries, and even funds will be critical in the coming days and weeks.
Here’s where evacuees can find food, clothing, disaster relief, pet care, and other resources.
Food, clothing and other necessities
Santa Anita Park
Evacuees can visit the parking lot adjacent to the racetrack at Santa Anita Park and find clothing, pillows, pallets of bottled water and other necessities.
The special donation center, originally assembled in the Rose Bowl parking lot, also includes a food station where evacuees can receive free meals.
The center will be open for pickup Sundays from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pacific Time and will accept donations until Sunday evening.
Los Angeles Area Food Bank
The Los Angeles Area Food Bank has more than 600 partner locations providing food and non-food items to evacuees, including stores in areas under evacuation orders.
Evacuees can use the authority’s pantry locator to find their nearest bank.

World Central Kitchen, founded by chef Jose Andres, has mobile locations across Southern California that are providing free hot meals to people affected by the fires.

Greater Los Angeles YMCA
The Greater Los Angeles YMCA is providing emergency supplies and shelter, as well as free child care to first responders, essential workers, and children of evacuated or evacuated families, with limited space available. Masu. Children must be at least 4 years 9 months old to participate in the program.
The agency also offers replacement assistance for government documents such as driver’s licenses, Medi-Cal cards, and CalFresh cards.

The Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation has turned seven recreation centers across Southern California into pet-friendly emergency shelters.

FEMA Disaster Relief
Evacuees are encouraged to apply for disaster financial assistance at DisasterAssistance.gov.
Agency representatives will also be available in person from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time Sunday through Monday at the following seven Los Angeles libraries:
