First Fox: The White House follows Democrats who plan to take over House GOP to permanently change the name of President Donald Trump’s US Gulf.
The House Rules Committee is considering a bill that codifies Trump’s decision to get the final gatekeeper before most laws receive a House-wide vote and stop calling the waters of the “Gulf of Mexico” in the southeastern United States.
“They always put America last because Democrats are so overtaken by Trump Madness, they’re obsessed with obstructing the president’s agenda,” White House spokesman Anna Kelly told Fox News Digital.
“As President Trump said, the US Gulf has long been an essential asset to our country. Every future generation should be able to recognize this beautiful waters as a sign of America’s greatness.”

The four Democrats have filed amendments to overturn the law given the majority of Republicans on the committee, but there is no chance that anyone will pass to overturn the law.
The first step, led by D-Calif Rep. Jared Huffman, has reverted a similar Trump decision to rename Mount McKinley in Alaska. Former President Barack Obama, the highest peak in North America, stripped his assassinated predecessor from the mountain in favor of Mount Denali, a name given to him by indigenous people who lived in the area.
Trump signed an executive order to restore McKinley as his name on his first day in office this year.

D-Fla. The second amendment by Rep. Darren Soto of the group aims to limit Trump’s ability to issue oil and gas drilling leases in the Gulf region.
Meanwhile, Senator Maxine Dexter, D-ore. submitted an amendment that blocked the Trump administration from “retaliation” against news organizations that would call the region the Gulf of Mexico if passed.
The White House blocked access to Associated Press journalists earlier this year after the organization continued to refer to previous names on the Gulf Coast even after Trump’s executive order. A federal judge ordered the White House to turn the rounds last month.
The fourth amendment, presented by Democrats, led by D-Calif Rep. Luz Rivas, will prevent the official name change from coming into effect until the Home Office evaluates whether it will benefit the economy.

Rivas told Fox News Digital that the Gulf of America was a “vanity project” that “doesn’t achieve anything,” in response to a White House statement.
“Millions of Americans are struggling with President Trump’s economic policies, and Republicans in Congress have yet to offer legislative proposals to reduce groceries costs, protect healthcare, or lower housing costs,” Rivas said.
The bill itself is expected to be voted later this week.

It is one of several works in the Republican Congress and is intended to make Trump’s enforcement actions permanent.
Trump’s executive order renaming the Bay was one of the first actions he took in his second term.
The remaining three Democratic offices that Fox News Digital reached for comments were not returned by press time.
