The White House is pushing back against New Jersey Democratic mayor Las Baraka. He filed the lawsuit this week after being arrested interim US lawyer for Alina Haba, New Jersey, and was temporarily charged with criminal trespassing outside an ice facility last month.

Baraka, one of the leading Democratic candidates for the New Jersey governor, filed a lawsuit against Haba on Tuesday, condemning “false arrests and malicious prosecutions” in connection with the May 9 arrest and charges outside the federal immigration center.

He was one of several civil servants, including lawmakers Robert Menendez, Lamonica McQuiver and Bonnie Watson Coleman, of the New Jersey Legislature delegation, all gathered outside the facility in protest. The U.S. Lawyer’s Office said it had dismissed the case against him “to move forward.” 13 days after filing the charges against Baraka.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in New Jersey, accused Haba of acting politically in his May 9 arrest outside the Delaney Hall detention center near Newar Liberty International Airport. Baraka was arrested while protesting outside the facility after being accused of ignoring and ignoring the warning from law enforcement officials. He was in custody for several hours before being released.

The civil lawsuit filed by Baraka’s lawyers seeks what they described as “false arrests and malicious prosecutions” and what Haba allegedly made about his case, including social media.

In the suit, Baraka’s lawyer accused Haba of “behavioring as a political operative outside of any function closely related to the judicial process and in her individual personal abilities.

White House spokesman Abigail Jackson responded to Baraka’s move by calling it a “valuable lawsuit” and a “deep attempt” to remain relevant.

“Looking like Mr. Baccarat’s last stunt, raiding federal detention facilities to protect criminally illegal aliens — this unworthy lawsuit is just his latest desperate attempt to maintain connections among left-wing Democrat bases,” Jackson said.

Meanwhile, Haba dismissed Baraka’s lawsuit, laughing out loud, “shocking.”

“My advice to the mayor – join me in prioritizing violent crime and public safety. Time is much more commonly used for the great citizens of New Jersey,” Haba said in a X-post Monday night.
