Former White House aide Ashley Williams is the latest former Biden administration official to appear in the House Oversight Committee investigation.
James Kommer, R-KY, chairman of the Oversight Committee. is investigating whether Biden’s former top White House aide has hidden signs of his mental and physical decline during his inauguration and whether executive action has been commissioned via the autopen without the full knowledge of the president. Biden’s allies pushed back these claims.
Williams is the third member of Biden’s White House inner circle, but he hadn’t said anything to reporters on his way into the room late on Friday morning during a short afternoon lunch break.
As the house probe gets hot, he says “I never worried” about Biden’s mental state before.

“The Biden White House has disrupted the committee’s investigation and refused to make aides available for deposits and interviews,” the committee said in a press release this year.
However, Williams’ appearance on Friday was not forced under the subpoena. She appeared spontaneously for a closed, transcribed interview.
The Trump White House waived Williams’ executive privileges last month along with several other former Biden aides.
