Chicago (WGN) – legendary pop singer Connie Francis is known for his hit song “Who’s Sorry Now?” And the virus “Pretty Little Baby” passed away at the age of 87.
News about the singer’s death came in a Facebook post shared by copyright manager Ron Roberts early on Thursday. This post was later shared on Facebook’s official Connie Francis Artist Page.
“It’s heart and extreme sadness to let you know that my dear friend Connie Francis passed away last night. Connie knows she approves her fans to learn this sad news first,” Roberts said in the post.
Born in Newark, New Jersey in 1937, Francis rose to fame as a singer in the 1950s and early 1960s, selling millions of records worldwide throughout his decades of career.

Most recently, Francis saw a revival of fame when the 1962 song “Pretty Little Baby” went viral on Tiktok. She later joined social media platforms and thanked several celebrities who shared her songs.

The cause of death remains unknown, but the death of the chart-topping singer comes after a few weeks of posts shared on Facebook about the “extreme pain” the singer began experiencing in early July.

In a post shared on July 2nd, Francis pointed out that she was in the hospital and forced her to cancel the appearance. Later that day, she noted that she was moved to a private hospital room after a series of intensive care tests and tests.
The singer’s final post came on July 4th when she shared an update saying she felt “much better”.
