One of the first things a woman who won $1 million in the Corona California lottery scradder buys is a new car for her siblings, and for good reason.
“I sometimes give my siblings $20. I know I love buying tickets so I tell them to buy tickets,” J. Garcia told lottery officials in an interview.
Late last year, Garcia’s brother told her she had tickets after a trip to Cardenas Market on Lincoln Avenue. She asked him to go ahead and hurt it, as she didn’t want to drive to the store for another ticket if it was a small victory.
“I think you won,” she said he told her over the phone.

Garcia assumed her brother was bullied, but even after he sent her a photo of the Roteria™ Grande Ticket, which he beat her, he still didn’t believe it.
“I went to the California lottery office and they told me, ‘Yeah, you won!” Garcia said in her interview. “That’s when it hit me.”
Garcia shared that she is likely to invest a portion of her money into her income property, but first, “I’m going to buy my brother a new car.”
Loteria™ Grande is a $10 scratcher with two Loteria™ game boards with a top prize of $1 million.
