Hours before the episode of Taylor Swift’s “New Heights” fell, the diva teased a special surprise to fans through her website.
A series of coloured rocks popped up at the bottom of the site, accompanied by a countdown on the evening of August 13th. Dedicated Swift fans knew: something was coming.
The orange, red, blue and silver-colored rock turned out to be a deluxe edition of the previously announced 12th studio, The Life of a Showgirl. Many online users predicted this and when ET rolled around at 7pm, they proved right.
Well, after hearing nearby, zooming in through Swift’s background and calculating some numbers, fans think there will be more Easter eggs in the “New Heights” episode.
Since then, Swifties has developed a big theory. The international pop sensation will perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
At this point, all fan theories are pure speculation, as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime performers have not been announced yet. (For context, Kendrick Lamar was announced as an Apple Music Super Bowl 59 Halftime Show performer.
What we know is that the 2026 Super Bowl marks its 60th NFL Championship and the game will take place on February 8th, 2026 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Levi’s stadium is home to the San Francisco 49ers.
Below we analyze three “clues” that the singer’s future fans are latching quickly as they try to predict what’s going to happen.
Everything that sourdough speaks
Swift’s “New Heights” episode featured an unusual look in the singer’s life. Her boyfriend, Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce – she spills over the beginning of a prominent romance with a football player, discussing her recent purchase of a master recording, and ultimately previewing her upcoming 12 albums.
She also admitted that millions of people cooking in non-performance daily life and has a “grandma” hobby.
Specifically, she was keen to bake sourdough bread and revealed some of the flavors she made, including cinnamon swirl, blueberry lemon, and fan fetti.
“I’m really talking about bread now 60% of the time,” Swift said.
Swift knows she is extremely intentional about her words and actions. For example, she teased that her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department, would actually be a double album by stretching two fingers during her acceptance speech at the February 2024 Grammy Awards.
Similarly, the brave Swift quickly connected some dots from this sourdough conversation.
They theorized that 60% could be a reference to Super Bowl 60 instead, rather than a random number. What’s more, the mascot of the San Francisco 49ers, Levi’s stadium home team in the Super Bowl 60s, is nothing more than a gold miner named Sourdough Sam.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing the official 49ers Tiktok account. The team posted Tiktok in a rush of speculation, a video of Levi’s stadium exterior set in “Jersey Shore,” “What’s going on here? Why everyone behaves strangely towards me.”
“It’s strange that 4+9 is…13,” one user commented on the post, referring to the numbers related to Swift.
Calculate numbers
In addition to the 60% mention, Swifties recorded several other seemingly random numbers that the singer mentioned in a two-hour “New Heights” interview. First, she thanked Jason Kelse for her enthusiastic introduction and said, “Thank you for yelling me like 47 seconds.”
Later in the episode, when asked how many countries she had “ERAS tours,” she replied: 47,000. (The actual answer is 21 countries.)
Some fans have digged into that number and noticed that Swift’s record-breaking “ERAS Tour” 47th show is in Levi’s stadium.
Taylor Swift has his final laugh! Prior to her highly anticipated debut on the “New Heights” podcast of boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce, the pop star enjoyed being a guest on a sports-centric show.
They also pointed out that Swift’s lucky number 13 (the “New Heights” episode fell appropriately on August 13) was equal to 60.
For fan credits, Swift said on his podcast that when it comes to planting Easter eggs, “I love numerology. I love math. I love dates.”
“I’m not planning on planting Easter eggs that will be linked to my personal life,” added Swift. “It will always be heading towards the music, what I came up with, the plans I came with.
Glimpse into the Super Bowl Trophy
Next is the background of the “New Heights” podcast. Swift and Travis Kelce recorded a podcast together and sat in front of a bookshelves that they already knew were full of Easter eggs.
In the background, fans found four boxes, orange, red, blue and silver, and were labeled “TS” on the front. Like the website lock, we found that these boxes represent four deluxe editions of “The Life of the Showgirl.”
On the shelf too? A statue similar to the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy awarded to the annual Super Bowl champion. (Important note: Both Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce have won the Super Bowl with their respective NFL teams, so spying on the trophy is not always common.)
The trophy is placed on a shelf on its side, and some fans claim it is an “around” ergo, a wink at the halftime show.
“I want Easter eggs to be specific. If you’re part of the fandom and want to experience music in the usual way, you don’t even see these,” Swift said on the podcast. “You don’t even care what’s on top of that doorway. It’s under that dimly lit flickering light, upside down in Braille, and you don’t need to know what it is.”
At that moment, some Tiktoc users slowed down the footage of Swift, thinking that she might be pointing to the trophy and leaning intentionally to the side to get her vision.
