The 27th Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run returned to SoCal on Sunday to raise funds for the Pasadena Humane Society.
According to humanitarian officials, $350,904.96 was raised before the event began.
Almost 2,000 people signed up for this year’s walks and runs, a humanitarian event in Pasadena. This includes dog training parks, awards contests and, of course, the option to walk and run with your dog at Brookside Park next to the Rose Bowl.
Wendy Burch of KTLA 5 lived in Pasadena for the festival on a Sunday morning. There, we spoke with the event organizer and one of the four-legged participants, Murphy Brown.

This year’s event is especially important due to the devastating January wildfires that flooded shelters throughout the region, including Pasadena humanity.
“We ingested a lot of animals during the fire, but unfortunately there are still around 140 animals we care for for those who have lost their homes,” said Kevin McManus, PR and Communications Director at Pasadena Humer. “We saw a lot of injured animals coming… It was an unprecedented event for us and for Southern California, so we’re still recovering from it.”
“Today is a little more important to us,” McManus added.
