It was unclear how large the fire was, how quickly it spread, and whether authorities had issued any evacuation orders or warnings, but aerial footage showed a home not far from the flames.
Structural protection crews were working to protect nearby homes, while emergency crews were seen trying to contain the flames at a firebreak, Sky5’s Gil Leyvas reported.
The wildfire situation is particularly dangerous Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning through Wednesday as strong Santa Ana winds return to the 5 Freeway and San Fernando Valley in northern Los Angeles County, National Weather Service officials said. It happened during the announcement.
Sky5 is telling this developing story live. Additional details will be updated as they become available.
