A Virginia woman who treated dozens of patients at multiple Los Angeles-area hospitals while posing as a nurse is now facing felony charges, according to police.
Amanda LeeAnn Porter, 44, was charged with one felony count each of fraudulent use of personal identification information, identity theft, and grand theft, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday night.
Porter allegedly stole the identities of out-of-state nurses to secure employment at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, stealing 60 nurses in one month from April to May 2024. He is accused of supervising a patient.
