Police are investigating following a report of a hit and rank rush involving pedestrians on Sunday in downtown Los Angeles.
Details are limited, and it is unclear how the incidents on Fifth Avenue and Hills Avenue unfolded. Preliminary reports suggested that the woman was protesting at ongoing demonstrations when she was attacked.
Health workers at the LA Fire Station responded to a corner where a video posted to the Civic App showed that paramedics handling the victims described them as women in their 20s only.
In a news release, firefighters said the victim was hit by a driver driving at a slow speed and suffered from “injury to isolated lower limbs.”
The civilian footage also showed police helicopters circling the downtown area, searching for a driver involved who probably escaped the scene, stopped, identifying himself and providing assistance.
So far, police have not made any descriptions of the vehicle public.

The victim in that case, the woman, also a woman, was seriously injured, but authorities said she was taken to hospital in stable condition.
Footage from scenes posted on social media shows the protesters driving into a black car. It changes in an offensive way, making it look like multiple people, but officials didn’t mention any other injuries.
An active search is also underway for that driver.
