Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who left a woman hospitalized in Long Beach.
On Dec. 26, Long Beach Police responded to a crash at the intersection of California Avenue and San Antonio Drive at 4:45 p.m.
Police said the male suspect was driving east on San Antonio Drive when he ran a red light and crashed into the victim’s vehicle.
The man briefly got out of the car after the collision, but quickly returned to the car and drove away.
Arriving officers found the female driver injured inside the vehicle. She was treated at a local hospital.
The suspect driver is still on the run. His vehicle is described as a tan Toyota Avalon sedan. Surveillance video of the car shows significant damage to the front end.
