After she was found lying on the Los Angeles River on Sunday, the woman had to rush to a local hospital.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said rescuers were originally received around 9:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Washington Boulevard, around East LA’s Boyle Heights.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found the woman lying in a supine position with about 3-4 inches of water.
“The patient reported moving her limbs, but her condition and circumstances [were not immediately known]Lafd said.

The crew quickly determined that hoist operation was necessary because of the bridge where ground access was limited.
“LAFD Air Ops lowered rescuers to assess patients,” the department said in a later warning. “The woman, about 55 years old, was in serious condition.”
No other identification information regarding the woman has been released and authorities will not disclose details surrounding the incident.
