The infamous murderer who lives in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of four Los Angeles County men killed his wife during a couple’s visit late last year, prison officials told the Los Angeles Times.
On June 12, 1990, 23-year-old David Brinson later retired from Robert Marks, a 59-year-old tavern owner, at his garage apartment on South Burnside Avenue in the Mid-Wilshire area.
At his trial, witnesses testified that Brinson believed that the former tavern owner was a well-connected cocaine dealer when he showed up to two accomplices who wanted the guns and two accomplices to take them for drugs and money.
After threw the apartment and spotting only a small amount of marijuana, witnesses testified that Brinson shot Mark.
The man reportedly was at Marks’ apartment to watch a basketball game.

Brinson, now 54, has recently served four consecutive life sentences at Mule Creek State Jail in Aeon, Amador County, Northern California.

According to the CDCR website, the couple’s visits, also known as “family visits,” take place at a private apartment life facility on the prison grounds. Visits are restricted to close relatives, including legal spouses, parents and children, and lasts approximately 30-40 hours.
Officials who chair the California Department of Amendment Committee told prison officers about 2am on November 13, 2024 that his wife, Stephanie Brinson, 62, had passed away, The Times reported.
The prison staff tried to save lives, but the 62-year-old woman was declared dead just before 3am.
Todd Leebe confirmed with the Times that Brinson killed his wife during a couple’s visit and that he was waiting for a prison report before he could file a complaint.
The 54-year-old was subsequently transferred to a California Healthcare facility in Stockton, a state prison for incarcerated patients with long-term medical or acute mental health needs.
