A portion of the 710 Freeway was completely closed early Tuesday morning after an accident involving two big rigs spilled fuel onto the road.
The accident was reported around 12:20 a.m. on the southbound section of Highway 710, just north of the Alondra Boulevard exit in Compton, according to a preliminary CHP report.
Video from the scene obtained by KTLA shows a semi-truck that was badly damaged and leaking fuel.

The second large rig involved in the accident had its shipping container overturned. The front end also sustained minor damage.

It took some time to clean up the debris that fell from the crash in the second semi-final.
A SigAlert has been issued stating that all southbound lanes of the 710 in the affected area will be closed until the scene is cleared.
The CHP said the highway had been reopened by 5 a.m.
The cause of the crash was not immediately clear. No injuries were reported.
