USA Today readers chose their favorite fast food tacos in 2025. This comes from a chain that hasn’t reached California.
According to a national survey by USA Today, the best fast food tacos is Taco Bravo, available only at Taco Johns.
If you’re new to Taco John’s, it’s a Wyoming-based restaurant chain that specializes in “West-Mex” cuisine.
The brand may also know it as a more powerful and powerful restaurant chain that owns the “Taco Tuesday” trademark, or a restaurant chain that refused to surrender it to NBA superstar Lebron James. In 2023, the company finally issued a challenge to use the money that ended up fighting the legal battle to donate to its competitors to charity by agreeing to abandon its trademark in favor of Taco Unity.
The company may have abandoned that fight, but USA Today readers have placed Taco John’s and its Taco Bravo on the fast food chart of the annual 10 best leaders, Choice Awards.

The tacos are “made with warm reflare beans spread over a tender tortilla, wrapped in freshly fried crispy taco shells and filled with seasoned 100% North American beef, cheddar cheese, taco sauce and lettuce,” officials said.
To celebrate Taco-Mplishing, Taco John’s is offering Beef Taco Bravos, $1 per day, all day, on Wednesday, July 30th, at over 300 locations.
“Tacos are our name, and make delicious, high quality tacos a lot of value from our beginning as a small taco shop in Wyoming. “We’re excited to see America talking and we know what our entire organization already knows. Taco Bravo is America’s best fast food taco and can now be celebrated with both long-time and new guests.”

If you are a California resident and you resign from not getting a taco bravo, bad news, the second best fast food tacos are also not available in Golden State. Landing in the USA Today Readers rankings was Trailer Park Tacos from Torchy’s Tacos, another regional Mexican fast food chain located mainly in the southwestern and southeastern regions of the country.
The best ranking fast food tacos that Californians can access was Delta Cos’ beer-damaged fish tacos, which came in third place.
